صَلَاةُ الله عَلَى طَهَ اليَمَـانِي
شَفِيعِ الخَلْقِ فِى يَوْمِ القِيَامَة
ṣalātu Allah ʿalā ṭahal yamānī
shafīʿil khalqi fiā yawmil qiyāmah
May God's blessings be upon Taha, the Yemeni,
The intercessor for creation on the Day of Resurrection.
دَعُونِى فَالَّذِى أَهْوَى دَعَانِي
وَأَبْدَا لِي مِنَ البُشْرَى عَلَامَة
daʿūniā fal ladhiā ahwā daʿānī
wa abdā lī minal bushrā ʿalāmah
Leave me, for the one I love has called me,
And for me, He has revealed signs of glad tidings.
وَأَظْهَرَ لِي غَمِيضَاتِ المَعَانِي
يَقِيـنًا عِنْدَ مَا كَشَفَ الِّثَامَة
wa aẓhara lī ghamīḍātil maʿānī
yaqīnan ʿinda mā kashafal lithāmah
And He has made clear to me the subtle meanings,
With certainty, when He unveiled the veil
سَقَانِي الكَأسْ أُفْدِي مَنْ سَقَانِي
أَلَا لِلَّهْ مِنْ تِلْكَ المُدَامَـة
saqānīl kaās ufdī man saqānī
alā lillāh min tilkal mudāmah
He gave me to drink and I would sacrifice myself for who gave me to drink
Verily, to God belongs that wine
وَفَكَّ القَيْدَ مِنْ بَعْدِ امْتِحَانِي
وَأَتْحَفَـنِى بِأَنْــوَاعِ الكَرَامَة
wafakkal qayda min baʿdim tiḥānī
wa atḥafaniā bi anwāʿil karāmah
And he released the shackles after being tested
And bestow upon me all kinds of generosity
وَأَوْضَحَ فِى الهَوَى قَصْدِي وَشَانِي
عَلَى وَرَعٍ وجَنَّبَنِي الـمَلَامَة
wa awḍaḥa fial hawā qaṣdī washānī
ʿalā waraʿin wjannabanīl malāmah
And in love, he clarified my intention and my state
With piety, he kept me away from blame.
مَضَى فِي العِلْمِ والتَّقْوَى زَمَانِي
وَفِي الأُخْرَى إِلَى دَارِ الـمُقَامَة
maḍā fīl ʿilmi wālttaqwā zamānī
wafīl ukhrā ilā dāril muqāmah
My time passed in knowledge and piety
And in the Hereafter, to the abode of permanence.
وَحَادِي الرَّكْبِ لَمَّا أَنْ حَدَانْي
إِلَى سَفْحِ النَّقَا مَا بَيْنَ رَامَة
waḥādīr rakbi lammā an ḥadānī
ilā safḥin naqā mā bayna rāmah
And when the guide of the caravan led me,
To the slope of purity, between Ramat.
أَجَبْتُ لَهُ وَلَمْ أَلْوِي عِنَـانِي
إِلَى وَاشٍ وَلَا أَهْلِ المَلَامَة
ajabtu lahu walam alwī ʿinānī
ilā wāshin walā ahlil malāmah
I responded to him, and did not bend my reins
To a backbiter or the people of blame.
وَحَسْبِي أَنَّنِي بِالَبَابِ حَانِي
عَلَى الأَعْتَابْ اِلَى يَوْمِ القِيَامَة
waḥasbī annanī biālabābi ḥānī
ʿalal aʿtāb ilā yawmil qiyāmah
And suffice it for me that I am at the door,
On the threshold, until the Day of Resurrection.
سَلُونِي فَالْهَوَى فَـــنِّي وَشَانِي
وَقَدْ أَصْبَحْتُ يَا خِلِّي غُلَامَة
salūnī fal hawā fannī washānī
waqad aṣbaḥtu yā khillī ghulāmah
Ask me, for love is my art and my state,
And I have become, O my friend, a servant.
حَضَرْنَاهُمْ عَلَى خَمْرِ الدِّنَانِي
عَلَيْهِمْ أَمْطَرَتْ تِلْكَ الغَمَامَة
ḥaḍarnāhum ʿalā khamrid dinānī
ʿalayhim amṭarat tilkal ghamāmah
We were present with them at the wine of Dini,
On which the clouds rained down upon them.
وَهُمْ فِي السُّكْرِ مَا شَهِدُوا لِثَانِي
وَبَيْنَهُمُ مِنَ الـمَوْلَى عَلَامَة
wahum fīs sukri mā shahidū lithānī
wabaynahumu minal mawlā ʿalāmah
And in their intoxication, they did not testify to a second,
And between them, there is a sign from the Lord.
تَدُلُّ عَلَى الرِّضَا فِي كُلِّ آنِي
وَلَا يـَخْشَوْنَ عُقْبَاهَا النَّدَامَة
tadullu ʿalar riḍā fī kulli ānī
walā yakhshawna ʿuqbāhan nadāmah
A sign that points to His satisfaction at every moment,
And they do not fear the regret of its consequences.
لَهُمْ مِنْ فَائِضَاتِ الإِمْـتِـنَـانِ
مَـَواهِبْ أَدْرَكُوا فِيهَا الإِمَامَة
lahum min fā’iḍātil imtināni
maawāhib adrakū fīhal imāmah
For them are abundant gifts of grace,
By which they attained the leadership.
عَسَى مَعْهُمْ إِلَى دَارِ الجِنَانِ
وَسَاقِينَا النَّبِي أَهْلُ الزَعَامَة
ʿasā maʿhum ilā dāril jināni
wasāqīnan nabī ahluz zaʿāmah
Perhaps with them, we will reach the abode of the gardens,
And the Prophet will lead us, the leaders of the way.
عَلَـيْهِ اللهُ صَلَى كُلَّ آنِي
وآلِهْ مَا سَجَعْ قُمْرِي الحَمَامَة
ʿalayhillāhu ṣalā kulla ānī
wālih mā sajaʿ qumrīl ḥamāmah
Upon Him, may Allah bless every moment,
And His family, as the dove of the morning coos.
