اَللَّهُ اَللَّهُ يَااللَّه لَنَا بِالقَبُول
Allahu Allahu ya Allah lanā bil qabūl
O Allah, O Allah, O Allah, grant us acceptance.
عَلـَى فِنـَا بَابْ مَوْلَانـَا طَرَحْنـَا الحَمُول
رَاجِيْنْ مِنْـهُ المَوَاهِبْ وَالرِّضَى وَالقَبُولْ
ʿalā finā bab mawlānā ṭaraḥnal ḥamūl
rājiyn minhul mawāhib war riḍā wal qabūl
At our Lord’s doorstep we have placed our burdens,
hoping to receive from Him gifts, contentment, and acceptance
يَافَرْدْ يَا خَيْرْ مُعْطِي هَبْ لَنَـا كُلَّ سُولْ
وَاخْتِمْ لَنَا مِنْكَ بالحُسْنـَى نـَهَارَ القُفُولْ
yāfard yā khayr muʿṭī hab lanā kulla sūl
wakh tim lanā minka bālḥusnā nahāral qufūl
O Singular One, O Best of Givers, grant us every request,
and give us a good seal from You when life comes to an end.
وَهَبْ لَنَا القُرْبْ مِنَّكْ وَالْلِّقَا وَالوُصُول
عَسَى نُشَاهِدَكْ فِي مِرْأةْ طَهَ الرَّسُول
wahab lanal qurb minnak wal lliqā wal wuṣūl
ʿasā nushāhidak fī mirāh ṭahar rasūl
Grant us nearness to You and an excellent meeting,
and arrival so that we may witness You through the mirror of Ṭa-Hā, the Messenger
يَارَبَّنَا انْظُرْ إِليْنَا وَاسْتَمِعْ مَا نَقُول
وَاقْبَلْ دُعَانَا فَـاِنَّا تَحِتْ بَابَكْ نُزُول
yārabbanan ẓur ilynā was tamiʿ mā naqūl
waq bal duʿānā fainnā taḥit bābak nuzūl
Our Lord, gaze upon us and hear what we say.
Accept our supplications, for we are standing at Your door.
ضِيفَانْ بَابَكْ وَلَسْنـَا عَنْهُ يَاالله نَحُول
وَظَنُّنَا فِيكْ وَافِرْ وَ الَْامَلْ فِيهِ طُول
ḍīfan bābak walasnā ʿanhu ya Allah naḥūl
waẓannunā fīk wāfir wal aāmal fīhi ṭūl
Guests at Your door, and—O Allah—we will never leave it
We have an immensely good opinion of You and expansive hope
وَفِي نـُحُورِ الاَعَادِي بَكْ اِلـَهِـي نَصُول
فِي شَهْرْ رَمَضَانْ قُمْنَا بِالْحَيَا وَالذُّبُول
wafī nuḥūril aʿādī bak ilahī naṣūl
fī shahr ramaḍān qumnā bil ḥayā wadh dhubūl
And at the enemies’ throats, with You O Allah, we assault.
In the month of Ramadan we have risen with modesty and neediness.
نبْغَى كَرَامَةْ بِهَا تَزْكُو جَمِيعُ العُقُول
نسْلُكْ عَلَى الصِّدِقْ فِي سُبْلِ الرِّجَالِ الفُحُول
nbghā karāmah bihā tazkū jamīʿul ʿuqūl
nsluk ʿalaṣ ṣidiq fī sublir rijālil fuḥūl
We desire a gift with which all our intellects become purified
so that we become true in following the path of the Great Men of Allah.
سُبْلِ التُّقَـى وَ الهِدَايَـةْ لَا سَبِيلِ الفُضُول
يَاالله طَلَبْنَاكْ يَامَنْ لَيْسْ مُلْكُهْ يَزُول
sublit tuqā wal hidāyah lā sabīlil fuḍūl
ya Allah ṭalabnāk yāman lays mulkuh yazūl
The path of taqwa and guidance, not the path of prattlers.
O Allah, we seek You, O One whose authority never ceases.
ثُمَّ الصَّلَاةُ عَلَى المُخْتَارْ طَهَ الرَّسُول
وَ الْاَلْ وَالصَّحْبْ مَا دَاعِي رَجَعْ بِالْقَبُول
thummaṣ ṣalātu ʿalal mukhtār ṭahar rasūl
wal al waṣ ṣaḥb mā dāʿī rajaʿ bil qabūl
Then we send blessings upon the Chosen One, Ṭā-Hā, the Messenger.
And the Family and Companions—whenever one’s supplication is accepted.
