مَا فِي الوُجُودِ وَلَا فِي الْكَوْنِ مِنْ أَحَدٍ
None Exists In The Realm Of Existence Nor The Vast Cosmos
مَا فِي الوُجُودِ وَلَا فِي الْكَوْنِ مِنْ أَحَدٍ
إِلَّا فَقِيرٌ لِفَضْلِ الْوَاحِدِ الأَحَدِ
mā fīl wujūdi walā fīl kawni min aḥadin
illā faqīrun lifaḍlil wāḥidil aḥadi
None exists in the realm of existence, and in the vast cosmic expanse
but as a beggar, seeking the grace of the One, the Sole.
مُعَوِّلُونَ عَلَى إِحْسَانِهِ فُقَرَا
لِفَيْضِ أَفْضَالِهِ يَا نِعْمَ مِنْ صَمَدِ
muʿawwilūna ʿalā iḥsānihi fuqarā
lifayḍi afḍālihi yā niʿma min ṣamadi
Dependent upon His benevolence, in need
For the abundance of His favors, O The Pinnacle of Guardianship.
سُبْحَانَ مَنْ خَلَقَ الأَكْوَانَ مِنْ عَدَمٍ
وَعَمَّهَا مِنْهُ بِالأَفْضَالِ وَالْمَدَدِ
subḥāna man khalaqal akwāna min ʿadamin
waʿammahā minhu bil afḍāli wal madadi
Glorified is He who fashioned the cosmos from nothingness
Encompassing it with His bounties and support
تَبَارَكَ اللهُ لَا تُحْصَى مَحَامِدُهُ
وَلَيْسَ تُحْصَرُ فِي حَدٍّ وَلَا عَدَدِ
tabāraka Allahu lā tuḥṣā maḥāmiduhu
walaysa tuḥṣaru fī ḥaddin walā ʿadadi
Blessed is Allah, beyond count are His praises
Not confined to limits, nor numbered amounts
اللهُ اللهُ رَبِّي لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ
اللهُ اللهُ مَعْبُودِي وَمُلْتَحَدِي
Allahu Allahu rabbī lā sharīka lahu
Allahu Allahu maʿbūdī wamultaḥadī
Allah, Allah, my Lord, without any partner
Allah, Allah, my worship, and my inclination
اللهُ اللهُ لَا أَبْغِي بِهِ بَدَلًا
اللهُ اللهُ مَقْصُودِي وَمُعْتَمَدِي
Allahu Allahu lā abghī bihi badalan
Allahu Allahu maqṣūdī wamuʿtamadī
Allah, Allah, I seek with Him no substitute
Allah, Allah, my purpose, and my sole support within
اللهُ اللهُ لَا أُحْصِي ثَنَاهُ وَلَا
أَرْجُو سِوَاهُ لِكَشْفِ الضُّرِّ وَالشِّدَدِ
Allahu Allahu lā uḥṣī thanāhu wala
arjū siwāhu likashfiḍ ḍurri wash shidadi
Allah, Allah, I'm unable to enumerate His praises
and I hope in none but Him for relief from distress and adversity
اللهُ اللهُ أَدْعُوهُ وَأَسْأَلُهُ
اللهُ اللهُ مَأْمُولِي وَمُسْتَنَدِي
Allahu Allahu adʿūhu wa asaluhu
Allahu Allahu ma’mūlī wamustanadī
Allah, Allah, I petition Him humbly and I beseech Him
Allah, Allah, my hope, and my place of reliance
يَا فَرْدُ يَا حَيُّ يا قَيُّومُ يَا مَلِكًا
يَا أَوَّلًا أَزَلِي يَا آخِرًا أَبَدِي
yā fardu yā ḥayyu īā qayyūmu yā malikan
yā awwalan azalī yā ākhiran abadī
O The Unique One, O The Ever-Living
O The Self-Sustaining, O The Sovereign,
أَنْتَ الْغَنِيُّ عَنِ الأَمْثَالِ وَالشُّرَكَا
أَنْتَ الْمُقَدَّسُ عَنْ زَوْجٍ وَعَنْ وَلَدِ
antal ghaniyyu ʿanil amthāli wash shurakā
antal muqaddasu ʿan zawjin waʿan waladi
O The Eternal First, O The Everlasting Last
You are independent of all comparisons and partners
أَنْتَ الْغِيَاثُ لِمَنْ ضَاقَتْ مَذَاهِبُهُ
وَمَنْ أَلَمَّ بِهِ خَطْبٌ مِنَ النَّكَدِ
antal ghiyāthu liman ḍāqat madhāhibuhu
waman alamma bihi khaṭbun minan nakadi
You are the refuge for one whose paths have constricted
And for one afflicted by speeches burdened with sorrow
أَنْتَ الْقَريبُ الْمُجِيبُ الْمُسْتَغَاثُ بِهِ
وَأَنْتَ يَا رَبُّ لِلرَّاجِينَ بِالرَّصَدِ
antal qarībul mujībul mustaghāthu bihi
wa anta yā rabbu lilrrājīna bir raṣadi
You are the near, the responsive, the one sought for help
And You, O Lord, are for those who hope with keen anticipation
أَرْجُوكَ تَغْفِرُ لِي أَرْجُوكَ تَرْحَمُنِي
أَرْجُوكَ تُذْهِبُ مَا عِندِي مِنَ الأَوَدِ
arjūka taghfiru lī arjūka tarḥamunī
arjūka tudhhibu mā ʿindī minal awadi
I implore You that you forgive me, and be merciful with me
I implore You that You remove from me any crookedness
أَرْجُوكَ تَهْدِينِي أَرْجُوكَ تُرْشِدُنِي
لِمَا هُوَ الْحَقُّ فِي فِعْلِي وَمُعْتَقَدِي
arjūka tahdīnī arjūka turshidunī
limā huwal ḥaqqu fī fiʿlī wamuʿtaqadī
I implore You to guide me, direct me to the right path
to what is The Truth in my action and my faith
أَرْجُوكَ تَكْفِيَْنِي أَرْجُوكَ تُغْنِيَْنِي
بِفَضلِكَ اللهُ يَا رُكْنِي وَيَا سَنَدِي
arjūka takfiyanī arjūka tughniyanī
bifaḍlika Allahu yā ruknī wayā sanadī
implore You to suffice me and enrich me
By Your grace, O Allah, O My Pillar, and O My Support.
أَرْجُوكَ تَنْظُرُنِي أَرْجُوكَ تَنْصُرُنِي
أَرْجُوكَ تُصلِحَ لِـي قَلبِي مَعَ جَسَدِي
arjūka tanẓurunī arjūka tanṣurunī
arjūka tuṣliḥa lī qalbī maʿa jasadī
I implore You to gaze upon me, I implore You to aid me
I implore You to rectify for me, my heart along with my body
أَرْجُوكَ تَعْصِمُنِي أَرْجُوكَ تَحْفَظُنِي
يَا رَبِّ مِنْ شَرِّ ذِي بَغْيٍ وَذِي حَسَدِ
arjūka taʿṣimunī arjūka taḥfaẓunī
yā rabbi min sharri dhī baghyin wadhī ḥasadi
I implore You to protect and safeguard me
O My Lord, from the evil of the one who transgresses and the one who envies
أَرْجُوكَ تُحْيِيَْنِي أَرْجُوكَ تَقْبِضُنِي
عَلَى الْبَصِيرَةِ وَالإِحْسَانِ وَالرَّشَدِ
arjūka tuḥyiyanī arjūka taqbiḍunī
ʿalal baṣīrati wal iḥsāni war rashadi
I implore You to grant me life and cause me to die...
in a state in accordance with knowledge and assurance, goodness and guidance upon the right path.
أَرْجُوكَ تُكْرِمُنِي أَرْجُوكَ تَرْفَعُنِي
أَرْجُوكَ تُسْكِنُنِي فِي جَنَّةِ الْخُلُدِ
arjūka tukrimunī arjūka tarfaʿunī
arjūka tuskinunī fī jannatil khuludi
I implore You that you treat me reverentially and exalt me in status
I implore You to grant me residence in the garden of eternity
مَعَ الْقَرابَةِ وَالأَحْبَابِ تَشْمَُلُنَا
بِالْفَضْلِ وَالْجُودِ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَيَومَ غَدِ
maʿal qarābati wal aḥbābi tashmualunā
bil faḍli wal jūdi fīd dunyā wayawma ghadi
Alongside kinship and loved ones, You surround us
with grace and benevolence, in this life and the hereafter
وَجَّهْتُ وَجْهِي إِلَيْكَ اللهُ مُفْتَقِرًا
لِنَيْلِ مَعْرُوفِكَ الجَارِي بِلا أَمَدِ
wajjahtu wajhī ilayka Allahu muftaqiran
linayli maʿrūfikal jārī bilā amadi
I direct my face to You, O Allah, in destitution
for the attainment of Your flowing favors, without end
وَلَا بَرِحْتُ أَمُدُّ الْكَفَّ مُبْتَهِلًا
إِلَيْكَ فِي حَالَيِ الإِمْلَاقِ وَالرَّغَدِ
walā bariḥtu amuddul kaffa mubtahilan
ilayka fī ḥālayil imlāqi war raghadi
I haven’t ceased, extending my hands, earnestly supplicating
to You in both states of need and prosperity
وَقَائِلًا بِافْتِقَارٍ لَا يُفَارِقُنِي
يَا سَيِّدي يَا كَريمَ الوَجْهِ خُذْ بِيَدِي
waqā’ilan bif tiqārin lā yufāriqunī
yā sayyidī yā karīmal wajhi khudh biyadī
and declaring, with a sense of indigence that never departs from me,
Oh my Master, O Whose grace reflects in every manner, please aid me
