بَيْنَ كَتِفَيْهِ عَلَامَهْ
خَاتَمُ الرُّسْلِ الكِرَامْ
bayna katifayhi ʿalāmah
khātamur ruslil kirām
Between his shoulders is a sign:
the seal of all the Noble Messengers
أَشْرَقَ البَدْرُ عَلَيْنَا
وَاخْتَفَى بَدْرَ التَّمَامْ
ashraqal badru ʿalaynā
wakh tafā badrat tamām
The full moon (i.e, the Prophet) has shined upon us
and the physical moon has been completed hidden
مِثْلَ حُسْنِكْ مَا رَأَيْنَا
فِي العِرَاقَيْنِ وَالشَّامْ
mithla ḥusnik mā ra’aynā
fīl ʿirāqayni wash shām
The likeness of your beauty, we have never seen
In the two Iraqs (Iraq and Iran), nor in the Levant
يَا حَبِيبِي يَا مُحَمَّدْ
يَا عَرُوسَ الخَافِقَيْنِ
yā ḥabībī yā muḥammad
yā ʿarūsal khāfiqayni
O beloved, O Muhammad
O beloved of the two creations
يَا مُؤَيَّدْ يَا مُمَجَّدْ
يَا إِمَامَ القِبْلَتَيْنِ
yā muayyad yā mumajjad
yā imāmal qiblatayni
O assisted one, O honored one
O leader of the two Qiblas
مَنْ رَأَى وَجْهَكَ يَسْعَدْ
يَا كَرِيمَ الوَالِدَيْنِ
man ra’ā wajhaka yasʿad
yā karīmal wālidayni
Whoever sees your face is felicitous
O one of noble parents
حَوْضُكَ الصَّافِي المُبَرَّدْ
وِرْدُنَا يَوْمَ الزِّحَامْ
ḥawḍukaṣ ṣāfīl mubarrad
wirdunā yawmaz ziḥām
Your cool pure water basin
is where we will drink on the Crowded Day
رَبِّي فَاجْعَلْ مُجْتَمَعْنَا
غَايَتُهْ حُسْنُ الخِتَامْ
rabbī faj ʿal mujtamaʿnā
ghāyatuh ḥusnul khitām
My Lord, make our gathering
its finality a beautiful seal
وَأَعْطِنَا مَا قَدْ سَأَلْنَا
مِنْ عَطَايَاكَ الجِسَامْ
wa aʿṭinā mā qad sa’alnā
min ʿaṭāyākal jisām
And give us what we have asked for
From you immense blessings
وَأَكْرِمِ الأَرْوَاحَ مِنَّا
بِلِقَا خَيْرِ الأَنَامْ
wa akrimil arwāḥa minnā
biliqā khayril anām
And honor our spirits
to meet the greatest of creation.
وَأَبْلِغِ المُخْتَارَ عَنَّا
مِنْ صَلَاةٍ وَسَلَامْ
wa ablighil mukhtāra ʿannā
min ṣalātin wasalām
Send to the chosen one from us
