طَلَعَ البَدْرُ عَلَيْنَا
مِنْ ثَنِيَّاتِ الوَدَاع
ṭalaʿal badru ʿalaynā
min thaniyyātil wadāʿ
O the Full Moon has risen over us
From the valley of Wadāᶜ
وَجَبَ الشُّكْرُ عَلَيْنَا
مَا دَعَا لِلَّهِ دَاع
wa jabash shukru ʿalaynā
mā daʿā lillahi dāʿ
It is an obligation on us to show gratefulness
When a caller calls to Allah
أَيُّهَا الْمَبْعُوثُ فِينَا
جِئْتَ بِالْأَمْرِ الْمُطَاع
ayyuhāl mabʿūthu fīnā
jii'ta bil amril muṭāʿ
O you who has been sent amongst us
You have come with the obeyed command
جِئْتَ شَرَّفْتَ الْمَدِينَة
مَرحَباً يَا خَيْرَ دَاع
jii'ta sharraftal madīnah
marḥabāan yā khayra dāʿ
You have come and ennobled Al-Madina
Welcome O best of callers
مَرْحَباً يَا مُصْطَفَانَا
نُورُكَ الغَالِي أَضَاء
marḥabāan yā muṣṭafānā
nūrukal ghālī aḍā’
Welcome our chosen one
Your precious light has illuminated
رَغْمَ أَنْفِ الْمُلْحِدِينَ
فَيْضُهُ عَمَّ البِقَاع
raghma anfil mulḥidīna
fayḍuhu ʿammal biqāʿ
Despire the disbelievers
Its' overflow has flooded the lands
أَشْرَقَتْ شَمْسُ الكَمَالِ
بِكَ يَا بَاهِي الْجَمَال
ashraqat shamsul kamāli
bika yā bāhīl jamāl
The sun of perfection has risen
By you O beautiful of beauty
جَلْ مَنْ سَوَّاكَ حَقًّا
دَائِمًا لِلْخَيْرِ سَاع
jal man sawwāka ḥaqqan
dā'iman lilkhayri sāʿ
Exalted is the One who has fashioned you truly
Always seeking the good
صَفْوَةُ البَارِي مُحَمَّد
دُرَّةٌ لِلْكَائِنَات
ṣafwatul bārī muḥammad
durratun lilkā'ināt
The chosen of the Creator Muhammad
The pearl of the universe
مَدْحُهُ بَلْسَمُ رُوحِي
وَلَهُ يَحْلُو السَّمَاع
madḥuhu balsamu rūḥī
wa lahu yaḥlūs samāʿ
Praising him is the balsam of my spirit
And it is sweet to listen to
يَا خِتَامَ الأَنْبِيَاءِ
يَا إِمَامَ الأَوْلِـيَـاء
yā khitāmal anbiyā’i
yā imāmal awliyā’
O seal of the prophets
O leader of the Awliyā'
رَحْمَةً أُرْسِلْتَ طَهَ
مُنْقِذَاً بَعْدَ الضَّيَاع
raḥmatan ursilta ṭaha
munqidhāan baʿdaḍ ḍayāʿ
A mercy you were sent, Taha
A savior after the loss
صَلَوَاتُ اللهِ تُهْدَى
لَكَ مِنَّا وَالسَّلَام
ṣalawātu Allahi tuhdā
laka minnā was salām
Mercy from Allah is gifted
To you from us and greetings of peace
يَا أَبَا القَاسِمِ يَا مَن
أَمْرُهُ دَوْماً مُطَاع
yā abāl qāsimi yā man
amruhu dawmāan muṭāʿ
O Aba l-Qasim O you
Whose command is always obeyed
