يرْتَاحْ قَلْبِي إِذَا حَدْ قَدْ ذَكَرْ فَاطِمَةْ
بِنْتِ النَّبِي المُصْطَفَى أَنْوَارُنَا الدَّائِمَةْ
īrtāḥ qalbī idhā ḥad qad dhakar fāṭimah
bintin nabīl muṣṭafā anwārunad dā’imah
My heart finds repose when someone mentions Fāṭima,
the daughter of the Prophet, the Chosen One; her lights are everlasting
أَمْسَتْ بِأَبْجُرْ مَعَارِفْ رَبَّهَا عَائِمَةْ
هِي ذُخْرَنَا هِي جَلَا لِلسُّحُبِ القَائِمَةْ
amsat bi abjur maʿārif rabbahā ʿā’imah
hī dhukhranā hī jalā lilssuḥubil qā’imah
She spends her nights swimming in the seas of gnosis of her Lord
She is our treasure. She casts away the clouds above
بُحُورَهَا فِي المَعَالِي دُوبِ مُتْلَاطِمَةْ
أَيَّامَهَا وَاللَّيَالِي صَائِمَةْ قَائِمَةْ
buḥūrahā fīl maʿālī dūbi mutlāṭimah
ayyāmahā wal layālī ṣā’imah qā’imah
The waves of her seas are constantly crashing in lofty stations
Her days and her night she spends in fasting and standing in prayer
لَهَا التَّبَتُّلْ إلَى المَوْلَى غَدَتْ هَائِمَةْ
بِاللّهْ لِلَّهْ يَالَكْ عَارِفَهْ عَالِمَةْ
lahat tabattul alal mawlā ghadat hā’imah
billāh lillāh yālak ʿārifah ʿālimah
She has absolute devotion to the Master. She remains madly in love.
Allah, by Allah, You have a true knower and gnostic
بِحَقِّ تَنْزِيلِ مَوْلَانَا العَلِي قَائِمَةْ
تَحْتِ الرِّعَايَةِ مِنْ طَهَ نَشَتْ حَازِمَةْ
biḥaqqi tanzīli mawlānal ʿalī qā’imah
taḥtir riʿāyati min ṭaha nashat ḥāzimah
by the right of the our Exalted Master's revelation, she stands
under the care of Ṭāhā in full resolution
هِي نُورُ قَلْبِي وَهِي ذُخْرِي لَنَا رَاحِمَةْ
نِعْمَ الشَّفِيقَةْ وَلَا هِي عَنَّنَا نَائِمَةْ
hī nūru qalbī wahī dhukhrī lanā rāḥimah
niʿmash shafīqah walā hī ʿannanā nā’imah
She is the light of my heart and she is my treasure, ever merciful to us
The greatest of compassionate women, she is never neglectful of us.
لَهَا سُيُوفٌ بَوَاتِرْ قَاطِعَةْ صَارِمَةْ
بِهَا احْتَمَيْنَا وَنُنْذِرْ أَنْفُساً حَائِمَةْ
lahā suyūfun bawātir qāṭiʿah ṣārimah
bihaḥ tamaynā wanundhir anfusan ḥā’imah
She has swords of peril, severe, and deadly
with them we are guarded and warn desperate souls
حَوْلَ الحِمَى إِنَّ غَارَاتِ القَوِي قَادِمَةْ
فِي صَفَّنَا فَاطِمَةْ مَعْنَا أَبُو فَاطِمَةْ
ḥawlal ḥimā inna ghārātil qawī qādimah
fī ṣaffanā fāṭimah maʿnā abū fāṭimah
Around the sanctuary, the onslaughts of the Mighty are sent forth
In our ranks is Fāṭima and with us is the Father of Fāṭima
سُيُوفُهُمْ لِلْمُعَادِي قَدْ غَدَتْ هَادِمَةْ
يَاوَيْلِ أَهْلَ الحِيَلْ وَالأَنْفُسِ الظَّالِمَةْ
suyūfuhum lilmuʿādī qad ghadat hādimah
yāwayli ahlal ḥiyal wal anfusiẓ ẓālimah
Their swords are destructive to all the show enmity
O woe to the people of plots and oppressive souls
يَارَبِّ فَرِّجْ عَلَيْنَا وَاكْفِنَا الغَاشِمَةْ
هَبْنَا عَوَافِي كَوَامِلْ تَامَّةً دَائِمَةْ
yārabbi farrij ʿalaynā wak final ghāshimah
habnā ʿawāfī kawāmil tāmmatan dā’imah
O Lord, grant relief to us and suffice us from all tyranny
Bestow upon us complete, continuous, and perfect ease
وَعِنْدَ رَشْحِ الجَبِينْ أَحْسِنْ لَنَا الخَاتِمَةْ
بِجَاهِ خَيْرِ الوَرَى ذِي الهِمَّةِ العَازِمَةْ
waʿinda rashḥil jabīn aḥsin lanal khātimah
bijāhi khayril warā dhīl himmatil ʿāzimah
And when the forehead begins to sweat, grant us the most beautiful of ends
by the ranks of the greatest of creation, he who possesses the most resolute aspirations
وَاهْلِ الكِسَا مَعْ ذَرَارِي أُمَّنَا فَاطِمَةْ
عَلَيْهِمُ رَبَّنَا صَلَاتُكَ الدَّائِمَةْ
wah lil kisā maʿ dharārī ummanā fāṭimah
ʿalayhimu rabbanā ṣalātukad dā’imah
and by the people of the cloak along with the progeny of our mother Fāṭima
Upon them all may the everlasting blessings of our Lord be
وَآلِهْ وَصَحْبِهْ أُهَيْلِ النِّـيَّــةِ الجَازِمَةْ
وَمَنْ تَبِعْهُمْ دَخَلْ فِي الفِرْقَةِ الغَانِمَةْ
wa ālih waṣaḥbih uhaylin niyyatil jāzimah
waman tabiʿhum dakhal fīl firqatil ghānimah
and upon their folk and companions the people of resolute intentions
whoever follows them, enters into the saved sect.
