يَا رَبِّ صَلِّ عَلَى الرَّاقِي إِلَى الرُّتَبِ
في لَيْلَةِ السَّبْعِ والعِشْرِينَ مِنْ رَجَبِ
yā rabbi ṣalli ʿalār rāqī ilār rutabi
fī laylatis sabʿi wālʿishrīna min rajabi
O Lord, bless the one who ascended to the highest ranks
On the twenty-seventh night of Rajab
فِي لَيْلَةِ القُدْسِ أَمَّ الرُّسُلَ سَيِّدُنا
طَهَ الحَبِيْبُ إمَامُ العُجْمِ وَالْعَرَبِ
fī laylatil qudsi ammar rusula sayyidunā
ṭahal ḥabiybu imāmul ʿujmi wal ʿarabi
On the Holy Night, our Master led the Messengers
Taha the beloved, the Imam of the Arabs and the Non-Arabs
عَلَا عَلَى السَّبْعِ نَاجَى اللهَ خَالِقَهُ
فِيْ رُتْبَةٍ قَد عَلَتْ حَقَّاً عَلَى الرُّتَبِ
ʿalā ʿalās sabʿi nājā Allaha khāliqahu
fiy rutbatin qad ʿalat ḥaqqāan ʿalār rutabi
He rose above the seven heavens and spoke to his Creator, Allah ﷻ
In a rank that has truly risen above ranks
مِنْ دُونِهِ الرُّسُلُ وَالأمْلَاكُ أَجْمَعُهُمْ
لِقَابِ قَوْسَيْنِ أَوْ أَدْنَى ٱصْطُفِى وَحُبِّى
min dūnihir rusulu wal amlāku ajmaʿuhum
liqābi qawsayni aw adnā aṣṭufi wa ḥubbi
Beneath Him, the messengers and the angels, all of them
At two bow lengths or even closer, he was chosen and brought near
يَا رَبِّ وَفِّرْ عَطَانَا هَبْ لَنَا حِكَمَاً
وَلَا تُخَيِّبْ رَجَاءَنَا لِلْدُّعَآ إِسْتَجِبِ
yā rabbi wa ffir ʿaṭānā hab lanā ḥikamāan
wa lā tukhayyib rajā’anā lildduʿā istajibi
O Lord, grant us abundantly and give us wisdom
Do not disappoint the supplications of those who pray
وَجْمَعْ وَأَلِّفْ قُلُوبَ ٱلْمُسْلِمِينَ عَلَى
مَا تَرْتَضِيهِ وَنَفِّسْ سَائِرَ الكُرَبِ
wa jmaʿ wa allif qulūbal muslimīna ʿalā
mā tartaḍīhi wa naffis sā’iral kurabi
And unite and bring together the hearts of Muslims on
What pleases you and relieve all the distress
يَا رَبِّ وَانْظُرْ إِلَيْنَا هَبْ لَنَا فَرَجَاً
وَاجْعَلْ لَنَا مَخْرَجَاً مِنْ أَيِّ مَا نَصَبِ
yā rabbi wa nẓur ilaynā hab lanā farajāan
wa jʿal lanā makhrajāan min ayyi mā naṣabi
Oh Lord, gaze upon us and grant us relief
And make for us a way out from whatever we are afflicted with
بَارَكَ لَنَا فِي الَّذِي أَعْطَيْتَهُ وَتَوَلَّــنَـا
وَعَافِ وَسَلَّمْنَا مِنَ الْعَطَبِ
bāraka lanā fīl ladhī aʿṭaytahu wa tawallanā
wa ʿāfi wa sallamnā minal ʿaṭabi
Bless us in what you have given us and taken care of us
Grant us good health and keep us safe from harm
